Liskeard

Liskeard, which also includes the Borough, is situated in the Deanery and Hundred of West. It is bordered by St Cleer to the north, Menheniot to the east, Morval, St Keyne, Duloe and St Pinnock to the south and St Neot to the west. The town is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. From 1294, Liskeard returned two Members to Parliament. The town is situated on the main southern route into Cornwall. The ancient village of Dobwalls was in this parish however, in the 20th century, a separate civil parish of Dobwalls and Trewidland was created. Other villages in the parish are Trevelmond, Moorswater, Trewidland and Lamellion.
