Helland
Helland is situated in the Deanery of Trigg Minor and in the Hundred of Trigg. It is bounded on the North by St Mabyn and Blisland, on the East by Blisland and Cardinham, on the South by Bodmin, and on the West by Egloshayle and St Mabyn from which parishes it is separated by the River Camel. Helland is a small village, about three miles north of Bodmin with the hamlet of Helland-Bridge spanning the upper reaches of the River Camel. In the Domesday Survey of 1086, it is taxed by the name of Henland. Besides the Churchtown, the hamlets are Helland-Bridge and Bodwen.
